Organizing Committee discusses concept of CEF 2016 Forum Events

The main theme of this year’s Central Economic Forum scheduled to take place in Kursk on July 1 is “Economy in the Interest of New Generations”. The concept of key events and other operational issues were discussed at the meeting of the Organizing Committee chaired by Alexander Zubarev, First Deputy Governor of Kursk region. AK&M Information Agency is Kursk region’s partner in the Forum preparation process.

The starting shot of the Forum will be the opening of the “Creating Future Now” exhibition expected to present products from major industrial and agricultural enterprises of Kursk region and other regions. Besides, innovative projects of young researchers and promising solutions from educational institutions and universities will be exhibited at the Kursk City Sports & Concert Complex.

The Central Forum Event will be the plenary session addressing state regulation of regional economies, the economic environment of the future and ways to overcome the crisis. Well-known TV presenter Alexander Gordon is expected to return as the plenary session moderator this year.

The business section of the Forum envisages a number of thematic sessions and round tables elaborating on the main Forum theme in different ways. The sections will cover a wide range of issues concerning development of small enterprises, cooperation between public authorities and businesses, food security, investments, healthcare, youth policy, and sports.

The Forum is expected to attract representatives of federal ministries and authorities, profit and nonprofit organizations, deputies, well-known Russian scientists, experts, bankers, representatives of major businesses and organizations of Kursk region and the neighboring regions. The list of guests and participants is already drawn up, with invitations to participate in the event sent to many addressees.

The official SEF 2016 website has recently been launched and is available at http://www.sef-kursk.ru, the meeting noted, among other things. The website provides information on members of the Organizing Committee, the draft Forum program, the contact details of the hosts and coverage of the latest regional news. The website content is being constantly added and updated. Intending Forum participants are welcome to register and to visit the “Contact Exchange” section primarily aiming to assist businesses in arranging meetings and negotiations during the Forum.

The Organizing Committee and AK&M Information Agency will continue efforts to arrange exhibitions, to flesh out the Forum sections, to offer the most exciting, relevant and interesting discussion topics, to pick participants and experts, Alexander Zubarev emphasized.
