Children's art completition
“The contrty I want to live in”

On July 1, 2016, the ceremony of handing diplomas and prizes took place at the 5th Central Russian Economic Forum.

The children’s art competition “The Country I Want To Live In” was held as part of the 5th Central Russian Economic Forum. The competition was meant to demonstrate the children’s vision of their homeland’s future, the values and symbols they associate with future as a concept.

250 works were submitted by the students of secondary and art schools of Kursk region taking part in the competition. 60 works selected by a special panel of judges for voting on the Forum website and for exhibiting to the public formed the backbone of the children’s art competition “The Country I Want To Live In”. The online voting on the Forum website helped decide on the winners.

As a result of the online voting, 8 winners were selected out of the 60 best works.

Irina Kurtukova (11 years), Yana Sayapina (16 years old), Tatyana Parshukova (13 years old), Vladislav Potolov (10 years), Nikita Musin (10 years), Diana Fedorchuk (13 years) won awards, while the first prize was awarded to Karina Volobueva (15 years).

At the end of the award ceremony, the Governor’s special prize for authenticity and sense of beauty in portraying the native land was awarded. Alexander Mikhailov, the Governor of Kursk region, handed the album covering the art of famous Kursk artist Aleksandr Deyneka to Polina Palagina (9 years) who studies at boarding school of Verkhny Lyubazh settlement in Fatezhsky district.

All the children received presents from the sponsors: artist colors from the Nevskaya Palitra artistic paints plant and sweets from the KONTI-RUS confectionery factory.

The children’s art competition sparked high interest among the Forum participants and guest of honor.
