Seventh Central Russian Economic Forum
Kursk city 8 June 2018

Valery Fadeev

Dear colleagues and friends,

The economy of future is about knowledge. Digital solutions, successfully implemented innovations and groundbreaking technologies are the cornerstone of Russia’s development and prosperity growth.

It is therefore of special importance that problems related to a knowledge economy should stay in the limelight at the Forum, be thrashed out by leading economic development experts, business people, representatives of public authorities and civic institutions.

The civil society is undergoing deep transformations. The society is changing, a new paradigm of thinking is coming. We observe increasingly stronger public initiatives and an upsurge of volunteering. People feel the need for charity, social service. These initiatives should be supported and aimed at solving the current social and economic issues.

Looking at the agenda announced by the Forum organizers, of special note is the role of the social environment in the formation of forward and creative thinking. The knowledge economy should rest on a knowledge society, should be based on a robust humanitarian foundation where each individual contributes to building a prosperous nation, demonstrates the required professional competence as well as high moral values, civic consciousness and love for the Motherland.

The Forum is intended to become a venue for discussing new challenges for the contemporary science, proposals for updating the education system amidst rapidly changing technologies, bringing up people with “innovative” thinking, building a new patriotic minded elite.

May I wish all the Forum participants new constructive ideas, interesting and rewarding work, mutually beneficial cooperation and every success!

Valery Fadeev, Secretary of the Civic Chamber of Russia
