Welcome speech of Kursk region Governor

Governor of Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov

The previous six forums induced discussions of various matters related to ways and prospects for economic development: improving competitiveness through innovations, development of the domestic market and human capital, transition to a digital economy. Come to think of it, these are all parts of one global agenda aimed at building a knowledge economy. This is an economy where knowledge plays a crucial role and production of knowledge becomes a growth driver. A number of countries have made notable progress in building a knowledge economy, while we still have a long way to go. This, however, is the future that needs to be created today.
