German investor to build meat-packing plant in Kursk region

A German investor has recently approached the Government of Kursk region for cooperation in the construction of a meat-packing plant, according to a statement made by the information support management of Kursk region’s Information and Press Committee.

A group of European partners representing EMF, Germany, visited Kursk region, met its Deputy Governor Alexey Zolotaryov and discussed a number of matters related to agricultural cooperation. According to Alexey Zolotaryov, an agreement is reached for the German investor to supply agricultural equipment to the region.

It will be recalled that a delegation of Kursk region headed by its Governor Alexander Mikhailov made an official visit to Strasbourg, France, in March 2012, attending a presentation of the Euroregion Yaroslavna. Their visit opened up new horizons of cooperation with European organizations.
